Post  reecemcgibbonson on Tue May 27, 2008 7:23 pm

Hey - good news! Good work to all who got that particular rule shifted. Always naffs me off when you can't even take water in and have to buy stuff at stupid prices.
Saw Mr Young earlier this year - if this day is half as good it will be completely amazing!

Hi the thing about food and drink actually means that you can take food and water onto the site but not alcohol glass bottle or cans. So you can bring a picnic lol!

food and drink

Post  timpeters on Mon Jun 30, 2008 1:13 pm

Am I being stupid? On the info page at the Hop Farm website it clearly states that food and water CAN be taken onto the site. No alcohol, cans or bottles though.

afraid not - the food and drink part of the info bit says that you can only buy beer in the venue, could always try and smuggle a hip flask in though!

No food or drink

Post  Wunty on Thu Jul 03, 2008 3:27 pm

Well, you're allowed water in plastic bottles. So, simply half fill a 2ltr water bottle with premium vodka, Stolichnaya Elit will be fine, and top up with tonic for a cool refreshing fun drink.

Post  the_blue_newt on Thu Jul 03, 2008 3:34 pm

On the main website it does actually say...........

• Food and bottled water will be allowed on site.

• Please No glass bottles.

• Alcohol is only to be purchased on site.

• There will also be a selection of food stalls available on site.

http://www.hopfarmfestival.com/food.html

I think a good day will be had by all............see you all there.
Best wishes

It's gonna mean £5 a pint, and £5 for a hot dog probably No , same as all the others....ho hum. At least we got Neil, he'll cheer us up cheers
i doubt it...i bet you any money you like it will be the same as all his large festival appearances, 30,000 old hippies all singing along and clapping their hands out of time with the music when he isn't singing, a total waste of £50 and fuel to get there i definitely will not be there. i saw him at the Apollo and thank god he told the old hippies to shut the fk up as it was being recorded. was a nice intimate gig for a change. i can't think of anything worse than paying that sort of cash to see Neil young only to not hear him because you always end up surrounded by idiots who think you paid and travelled to listen to them clapping and singing! It's bound to be a terrible experience, and he hasn't even changed the set list that much throughout the whole tour which in my opinion is just lazy. keep on rocking in the free world...BORING!!!!!! My advice is avoid at all cost and save your money!!!!!
