parking meter proposal next year

Due to the controversy over parking this year at Hop Farm it has been suggested that a parking fee will be added to all ticket sales next year to fund the installation of parking meters for future events at the highly controversial Hop Farm. Following hundreds of complaints over this years parking fiasco event organisers have held emergency discussions to help fund and avoid the 2 to 3 hour wait that punters had to endure in order to exit the site after this years washout. Hop Farm management see the increase in ticket prices next year as an absolute necessity to keep the 30,000 crowd happy and to ensure that revellers can exit the site in a safe, orderly and organised manner and to secure permissions of future events held at the site. A spokesman from Hop Farm board of directors said "That it is important that the fiasco over parking at this years highly successful event be avoided in future and to secure Hop Farm as one of the countries best and top festival venues in the country." Emergency planning has been proposed for the installation of 15,000 parking meters to be installed in the fields surrounding this magnificent venue at an estimated cost of £750000 and do not think that revellers will object to the relatively small increase in ticket prices and see the site as Kent's equivalent of the highly successful Glastonbury festival. A spokesperson for Tonbridge county council does not think the permission required for the installation will not be objected to as it will bring much needed revenue and jobs to the local economy and the local council will only require a relatively small backhander to rush the permission through to secure the long term future of the event.
