Re: 'No food or drink'
mast2299 appears to be right
the information part on the website says:
Food and Bottled Water allowed on site
No Glass Bottles or Cans
does this mean that you can take beer/cider in plastic bottles?!

Re: 'No food or drink'
This is good news, big thanks to The Vince Power Group for listening to genuine and constructive criticism/suggestions I am sure that the on-site vendors will still sell plenty of stuff.

No Food or Drink
I'm confused. The info section definitely says "Food and bottled water allowed onsite". Where does it say No food?
Having survived The Who gig at Charlton Athletic (back in the days before H&S) I can understand the prohibition on glass and cans. Surely clear plastic containers shoudn't pose any problem to the ingenious who want to save a bit of money on the alcohol bill.

Re: 'No food or drink'
I will clarify for those coming late to the 'no-drink and no-food' love-in. The festival website originally said 'no food, no drink' to be brought in from the outside. People have complained, and the festival organisers have changed their mind, in the interests of their ticket-holders. So this isn't a case of people getting worked up over nothing; we got worked up over something, and something has been done about it.
Many thanks again to Vince and co. If only other festival organisers thought like this.

Indeed they have.
no food or drink cont.
Hey - good news! Good work to all who got that particular rule shifted. Always naffs me off when you can't even take water in and have to buy stuff at stupid prices.
Saw Mr Young earlier this year - if this day is half as good it will be completely amazing!

Hi the thing about food and drink actually means that you can take food and water onto the site but not alcohol glass bottle or cans. So you can bring a picnic

food and drink
Am I being stupid? On the info page at the Hop Farm website it clearly states that food and water CAN be taken onto the site. No alcohol, cans or bottles though.

Re: 'No food or drink'
afraid not - the food and drink part of the info bit says that you can only buy beer in the venue, could always try and smuggle a hip flask in though!

No food or drink
Well, you're allowed water in plastic bottles. So, simply half fill a 2ltr water bottle with premium vodka, Stolichnaya Elit will be fine, and top up with tonic for a cool refreshing fun drink.

'No food or drink'
On the main website it does actually say...........
• Food and bottled water will be allowed on site.
• Please No glass bottles.
• Alcohol is only to be purchased on site.
• There will also be a selection of food stalls available on site.
http://www.hopfarmfestival.com/food.html
I think a good day will be had by all............see you all there.
Best wishes

Re: 'No food or drink'
i doubt it...i bet you any money you like it will be the same as all his large festival appearances, 30,000 old hippies all singing along and clapping their hands out of time with the music when he isn't singing, a total waste of £50 and fuel to get there i definitely will not be there. i saw him at the Apollo and thank god he told the old hippies to shut the fk up as it was being recorded. was a nice intimate gig for a change. i can't think of anything worse than paying that sort of cash to see Neil young only to not hear him because you always end up surrounded by idiots who think you paid and travelled to listen to them clapping and singing! It's bound to be a terrible experience, and he hasn't even changed the set list that much throughout the whole tour which in my opinion is just lazy. keep on rocking in the free world...BORING!!!!!! My advice is avoid at all cost and save your money!!!!!pearl jam-es wrote:I guess it means what it says, which is kinda dissapointing after all the hubbabaloo about going back to the roots of festivals, and being all about us as festival goers. It's gonna mean £5 a pint, and £5 for a hot dog probably , same as all the others....ho hum. At least we got Neil, he'll cheer us up
